Hi,
My name is Julia. I am 23 years old. I have a Bachelors degree in IBA-marketing and I am currently working in one of the biggest corporate companies in Kenya. I was born and raised in Nairobi and have travelled to Nigeria, Dubai and New York City for leisure.
When I was in college, a friend of mine gave me a DVD to watch-The Secret. I needed entertainment and had nothing else to watch so I just watched what I was given.
That night my life changed. I had been exposed to the idea of having anything I wanted in life; somwthing that was very foreign to me. About a year later, I started to purposefully look for any book by Jack Canefield since he was the one who really inspired me in 'The Secret' and I was dry out of inspiration and direction. I found the book "The Aladdin Factor". In the book, Jack asked readers to write down a list of 101 things that they really wanted in life assuming that there were no limitations in life. As if God Himself came down and gave you the chance to have anything you want. I struggled with this list for about 2 weeks but eventually, one night in the middle of my slumber, I woke up with a stream of things I REALLY wanted.
My biggest dream is to become a performer and an artist. I write lyrics, poems, articles and I can draw and sing and act. This is the path I want my life to take. I have no idea how to plan for such a farfetched dream especially because I live in a ountry where the arts are not appreciated to the level where one can live off such a paycheck. Secondly, I am in a job that is highly coveted, one where I should feel grateful for but have very littly motivation for or happiness out of.
I have vision boards of my dream. I dream and write about it alot. But i have no plan. I dont see where and how it can begin.
I am at my wits end here and cry every day now about this.
Please Please Please help me.
Love,
Jules. :)
