Cherokee County NC is a wonderful place to live
Cherokee County, NC is a wonderful place to live, raise a family, visit, or have a second home in the mountains of western North Carolina. We are 100 miles from the nearest traffic jam, skyscraper, and most of the rats don't even know how to race here. We live in an area of scenic splendor, friendly people, beautiful lakes and rivers, tree-covered mountains, small farms, small businesses, and lots of activities and events. You can find authentic Appalachian culture alive here without the artificial facades you may find in some of the tourist areas. We welcome visitors and we'll do our best to make sure you enjoy your travels through our area of North Carolina. Cherokee County, NCA Portal for Cherokee County, NC, has gone through at least three complete rebuilds over the last couple of years. I have found a way to build the site that offers flexibility for updating information without making it too easy for hackers to destroy the site (as they've done previously). The current version will continue to grow and the blog and calendar of events will be updated as I discover new information to pass along to you. As time allows, I'll be adding much more about Cherokee County, NC, and events, organizations, businesses, and people in our towns of Murphy, Andrews, Marble, Brasstown, and the other areas in our county. Murphy, NCTo start, you are invited to visit our page in the directory devoted to Murphy NC. Return to Home, Directory, or Western North Carolina.
